The Easiest Way to Reduce Cellulite for the Summer

It’s Officially British Summer Time!

Here it is Summer Time! and what doe’s it call for! shorts, skimpy skirts, swimsuits and bikini’s and if you’re anything like me we all know how dreadful it can be when we look down and all you see is dimple, dimples and more dimples! I found the easiest way to reduce cellulite permanently is by using my Derma Roller.

What is Cellulite?

Cellulite is something many of us may suffer from through weight gain in their life.  Cellulite is an unevenness of the layer of fat beneath the skin, underlying fat deposits begin to push through the layers of collagen fibres and connective tissue under the skin (often in the buttock, stomach & thigh area) so unless you are a man or a female body builder there’s no getting away from it!

Temporary & Permanent Solutions to get rid of Cellulite

Dry Body Brushing:  Is one of the oldest methods to get rid of cellulite quickly.  It helps smooth the dimply areas of the body, thighs in particular by reducing water retention.  It can also help with lymphatic drainage and shift those fat deposits if used regularly.  See my post on Guide to Dry Brushing here!

Firming Body Lotions: Look for an iridescent finish that will reflect the light off your problem areas.  If you don’t want to invest in expensive firming creams you can create your own by using your regular firming cream and adding highlighter or illuminator to it, preferably liquid!

Opting for Fake Tan: When look for fake tan lotions or mousse, go for the caramel or olive toned as they will compliment your skin tone better than the orange ones, who wants to look like oompa loompa! My recommendation is Skinny Tan, it smells absolutely gorgeous and you can build it up gradually, plus they have every thing you need on their site.

Derma Roller:  A Derma Roller Kit is what you should invest in.  It is a roller with microneedles that will bring collagen back up to the surface of the skin.

Regular use (twice a week) will thicken the skin that will make it harder for fat to protrude resulting in a less ‘orange peeled’ effect.  If you are going to invest in a firming lotion then the Derma Roller will improve the absorption by 400%

CoQ10 Serum a Newcomer to the Skincare Industry

What is CoQ10?

CoQ10 is a relatively newcomer to the skincare industry also known as Coenzyme Q10 or Ubiquinone an enzyme that is produced naturally within the body, found in every cell and tissue.

It’s well known within the Health  Industry and has been researched extensively to be of great value for our well-being for it’s high anti-oxidant content which helps in neutralising harmful Free Radicals the enemies of Collagen and Elastin!

Under perfect conditions we produce enough CoQ10 with our body but various factors such as aging, stress and some medications and over time can deplete our reserves and our cells ability to regenerate and withstand stress decline.

Using CoQ10 Serum to Benefit your Skin

Unfortunately as we said CoQ10 production tapers off as we age, as a result cells lose their efficiency (Energy Production) and protecting capacity (Anti-oxidant Power) which are important for health young looking skin.

So what can you do about declining CoQ10 in the body? You can use Supplements both internally and externally in the form of Serums.

5 Ways CoQ10 Benefits the Skin

  • It Energises – Energy needed to repair damage and make sure skin cells are healthy
  • It Protects – Against Photo-aging that means premature aging due to over exposing the skin to the sun
  • It Rejuvenates – Skin by stimulating skin cell activity
  • It Stimulates – Collagen Production
  • It is a potent anti-oxidant – that acts against oxidative damage

Our Natural Extraction Professional Formula is formulated with natural plants by means of fermentation, concentrating and refining, it can react with Free Radicals in the skin cells and work with our Derma Roller to achieve fabulous results! It will help increase skin’s moisture content, slow down collagen loss, enhance skin’s brightness and reduce fine lines, leaving the skin more Elastic Fantastic!

Natural bigger lips in under a minute.

Natural Bigger Lips

GUEST POST – By Sarah Scotford

Want bigger lips naturally? Get yourself a dermaroller.
MAKE SURE you use 0.5mm for best results, anything larger can be damaging.

And ALWAYS ALWAYS sanitize your needles before and after use. Using needles without sanitizing can lead to infections!

First apply a serum. I like to use straight up Hyaluronic Acid. It’s a gel like water holding molecule that is the space filler & cushioning agent found in all mammals joints and skin. It improves hydration in the skin and stimulates the production of collagen.

Stretch your lips so that the needles get right in there. Roll vertically, horizontally and diagonally until you’ve rolled all over.

Results won’t happen overnight.. Be patient and do them twice a month or before a big night out.

Microneedling creates tiny “injuries” in your skin thus creating your natural defences to waken up and create more collagen. Creating pillowy plump lips

Argan oil is an important factor in every woman’s skin care ritual. It is rich in unsaturated fatty acids that helps restore skin cells. Argan Essential Oil is very effective because it rejuvenates the skin  and makes it firm and elastic. Due to the complex vitamin E, argan oil prevents dehydration and wrinkles. Derma Roller Home Treatment Guide

It looks daunting doesn’t it? like some sort of medieval torture weapon! I suppose the last thing you would think about in your skincare regime is running tiny needles over your face!  With my love of Ancient Therapies did you know that ‘micro-needling’ has been used in China for centuries, not only did use they for beautiful skin but they also believed that it had a positive effect of the Qi (Chi) life energy of that person. While Western Medicine is finally catching up, Chinese Medicine has known this for centuries: that micro subcutaneous injuries to the Epidermis (most outer layer of the skin) stimulates new collagen growth and renew skin cells to produce smoother, healthier skin, it has now been scientifically proven, though it doesn’t account for the Qi .. give it time though!

Guide to Dry Brushing with Garshan Gloves

smooth legs

Dry Brushing with Garshan Gloves is a wonderful treatment you can do at home as part of your shower or bath time routine.  This type of dry brushing is an ancient Ayurvedic dry brushing massage known as Garshana.  The Benefits of this practice is to stimulate the skin and lymphatic system, enhancing your blood circulation and a gentle release of toxins with the body.  I have dry brushed for years but find that using a loofah or brush is too abrasive for me so found a better alternative using raw silk gloves and having knowledge as Massage Therapist I prefer then as have much more control of the strokes and circular motions needed for lymphatic drainage.

Easy Homemade Bath Bomb Recipe

rose petal bath bombs

Simple and So Much Fun!

Settle in for a good soak, your own pamper night with bath bombs & essential oils, flower petals and a healthy fizz! That will leave you feeling invigorated and squeaky clean, restoring the pH balance of your skin.  For the instance I’m using Lavender and Essential oils, but you can amp up your bath bomb with any oils or herbs.  I will leave a list of variations you can use below.

bath bomb

Lavender Bath Bomb

  • 5-6 Lavender Sprigs
  • 1 tbsp. Citric Acid Powder
  • 3 tbsp. Bicarbonate of Soda
  • 10 drops of Lavender Essential Oil
  • 1 tsp of Plant Based Oil (Almond, Jojoba)
  • Biscuit Cutter or Mould

  1.  Heat the oven to 180 c.  Once it has reached the temperature , turn off and place the Lavender Sprigs in the oven to dry for about 2 hours.  When they are dry remove the flowers from the stalk and place to one side.  For easy use its possible to buy already dried from your local hobby or online.
  2. Next make sure your hands and the bowl you are using are totally dry otherwise the bicarbonate will start fizzing.  In a glass bowl, mix the citric acid and bicarbonate together adding a few drops of lavender oil and 1 teaspoon of the lavender flowers, along with the almond oil or oil of your choice.
  3. Place a biscuit cutter on top of a sheet of baking.  Put the mixture into the biscuit cutter and press down with the back of a spoon.
  4. The oil needs now needs to evaporate so the bomb can set to dry in a hard block.
  5. Leave for a few hours or preferably overnight
  6. Store in tin foil to keep the moisture out

Add these for Extra Fun!
